It's been an embarrassment-of-riches record collecting week. It doesn't happen often, so I'm reveling in it. From this weekend (all new on LP) --

In addition to the LCD S. LP shown above, I picked up:

The Roots ~ Things Fall Apart
    Madvillain ~ Madvillainy
    Nas ~ Illmatic
    Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
    Public Enemy ~ Apocalypse 91
and Dr. Dre ~ The Chronic

Bonus: I introduced my wife to In Rainbows and she loved it (she's mainly a Bends fan). And through repeated playings in our household, she is a new convert to DAMN. She was even looking up Kendrick Lamar videos to play on her laptop tonight. Damn!

Recent remastered reissue. Nice gatefold this time around. I had to pick this up even though I have an older non-gatefold copy.

This will probably never feel the diamond, but I couldn't leave it there for a buck. Perhaps someday my morbid curiosity will get the best of me and I'll spin it.

Have been too busy getting ready to move to come on here lately (anyone want to help me pack 14,000+ LP's for a 600 mile move?). But here's my thrift store finds from the last 3 weekends:

    Manfred Mann- Pretty Flamingo
    The Joyful Noise
    Vaughn Meader- The Second Coming
Shut Down (a compilation that I couldn't pass up since it has Robert Mitchum "singing" 'The Ballad of Thunder Road'
Tom Paxton- Something in my Life
    Everly Brothers Reunion Concert
    The Alan Bown
Rock and Roll With Joe Houston and his Rockets
    Little Richard- Talkin' 'bout Soul
    The Impressions- People Get Ready
    John Fogerty
    James Gang- Jesse Come Home
Archie Bell and the Drells- I Can't Stop Dancing
Firesign Theater- How Time Flys (complete with diorama!)
    Magnum- Kingdom of Madness
Johnny Cash- The Songs that Made him Famous (on London) and Sings Hank Williams (on Sun)
    Dave Brubeck Quartet- Anything Goes
Ike and Tina Turner- Nutbush City Limits
    Pollution
    The Buckinghams- Portrait (promo)
CCR- Cosmos Factory (German, on Bellaphon, gatefold)
    Four Seasons- Silver Anniversary Collection
    Great Speckled Bird
    Dorsey Burnette- Things I Treasure
Springsteen- The River (replacing a pretty worn copy) and Greetings from Asbury Park
    Ramsey Lewis Trio- Another Voyage
    Julie London- Around Midnight
    The Pentangle- Basket of Light
    Joanie Sommers- Johnny Get Angry
    The Astrid Gilberto Album
    Freddie Cannon
    Auracle
    James Brown- It's a Mother
    Antonio Carlos Jobim- Tide
    McKendree Spring
    Chase- Pure Music
    Wayne Fontana
Aerosmith- Rock in a Hard Place

As always, nice finds in there ashfan.

I can't help you move boxes but I have moved 7500 from place to place. I found that the methodology of the way you pack up has a lot to do with where they are going to be placed when you unpack.

    Ha! I do, AAMOF.

You know it's coming out soon on MFSL. No Bolero, but I wouldn't mind having a crystal clear copy. Hope they don't screw it up. Not all MOFI releases are stunning these days.
