1. London Calling - The Clash (permanent no.1 ranking)...

Ok I'm going to buy a copy of London Calling. Between your permanent #1 and reviews on rateyour music.com (everyone raved) I gotta check this one out.

WW,
Do you have The Clash's "Combat Rock" ??? You might try that on vinyl just to check out the bass response of your cart/arm/TT.
It has "Rock the Casbah" on one side (personally, I think RTC sucks), but you flip the thing over and it's like a different album.
"Straight To Hell" which ends the side is the bass-tester (and a great song IMO).
There's a reasonably priced 180 gm
available, either thru normal channels or eBay--

Soul Coughing's "Irresistable Bliss" ("Super Bon Bon") is the other LP I put on to see if I have VTA set-up correctly in terms of bass response.

Billfort,
I think there were a number of "Artist X at Shelly's Manne-Hole" released; I just figured Brubeck must have done one too.

TY

Ok Yoder, bought it. I'll let you know what I think. I just remember hearing so much of them during college frat parties in the early 80's.:drunk:
