What is the most ridiculous use of a McIntosh?

Most people think of McIntosh equipment in exotic systems. I once had a MC225 in my basement wired to some outside low-fi speakers.....

Lets hear your story - pics even better.

I'm in the process of mounting my MA 6500 in the basement storage area of our motorhome to power some outdoor speakers. I'll post some pics when I get it mounted

Mcintosh amps..I forget which ones..were used in the sonar room of US Navy submarines. I will try to find the link, but it has pictures and the amps say made for Us Navy by McIntosh, or something along those lines...

In Oak Ridge, TN, the US DOE Emergency Alert PA and Sirens are powered by McIntosh MC 30 power amplifiers. The highest fidelity alert PA system ever made. Also, Stadtler Hearing Test equipment used McIntosh MC 30 amplifiers as well.

I heard a story about mcintosh Amplifiers being used at MIT for their auditorium. They renovated it and threw them all in the trash.

Supposedly Hamilton Standard used McIntosh amps for powering their shake rigs, years ago. They got retired and someone was at the surplus store at the right moment in time. The store didn't know what they had and priced 'em cheap, too...

I used a McIntosh MC100 mono solid state industrial amp for years as my bass guitar amp. I carried a bag of fuses with me at all times as I drove the crap out of that thing! I don't have any photos for it. Too bad.... I built an awful wooden case for it! The amp is now the paging amp here at Audio Classics and is on 24/7!

I paired my MC2105 with Pioneer HPM 100's for about a week.
