there is nothing to argue about..shes a consistent top ten runner in Indycars and is now a perennial threat to win the Indy 500..she has nothing to prove to anybody buy her employer, who is currently Michael Andretti, and at such time that he puts a winning car under her cute little behind, she'll take it to the front. She's a hard nosed, well prepared competitor, and has earned respect far beyond what she gets from a largely ignorant American motorsports fanbaseI'm not gonna argue whether she can drive or not but I'll give her one thing......
She puts butts in the seats and that's what matters these days. I think in some ways she has the Muhammed Ali or Howard Stern thing going for her.....aka her haters watch her more that her fans. At the end of the day that attention is all the sponsor's want anyhow.
It is hard to take her serious about her talent with all the half-naked fluff. The GoDaddy ads are insulting, particularly to her.
Maybe she is a rare and unique talent that does not receive the credit she deserves.
Maybe she is a mediocre-though-very-hot-talent that received way too much credit and emphasis.
You can make the ingorant-sexist arguement, that she is a pioneer for women in racing. One can equally make the arguement that her actions are detrimental to women in racing; that she sucked the oxygen from the room with her base sex marketing and mega-exposure. How can any female expect to follow, much less an unattractive female? She turned female racing into sex and celebrity. Follow the money.
Here is a pioneering female racer. Less gloss and hype, more wins.
