Found some Kenwood LS-P5000D speakers

Yesterday I found a pair of Kenwood LS-P5000D speakers on the side of the road. Google reveals very little info about them.

Can anyone tell me anything about these speakers?

LS-P5000 were $630/pr new, 1984-87.

Side of the road?? where you live? i need roads like that around here but unfotunately where i live you wouldnt find an emty mcdonalds carton without someone taking it never mind speakers like that.

I have the bigger brother (LS-P9200) and they thump, he found them in the trash, too. Good find.
