Now my CR-2020 is dead. Worked when I last moved it.

Criminy, busted gear everywhere here.

Pulled it out of the case to put the dang knobs back on and no click. No pwr LED. other LEDs work. WTF?

Missing -25V on the Pwr Supply board. Tuning center meter stays left. This one's had the rebuild too and was working great. Amp board idle current good, input voltages from the cap board are good, guess I'll run it down from there...

Any pointers?

Bah, part of my fix was shite. I hate getting these after they've been hacked on and gotten crispy. Found a marginal trace on one leg of TR715 that was iffy and needed a better fix. Wired it straight to the leg of TR714 it was connected to through the trace. TR715 was running wild without it. Came right back up.

I think that is a three banana moment.

If I can fix my T-7 and T-2 problems, it will be a three banana moment. :D

The T-2 weak channel will come when I have more time, and may even go out to a pro, but I'd like to recap it first. The T-7 is gonna be a real bitch without a readable schematic. Luckily, I only paid pocket change for the T-7.

Oh, the CR-2020 Power LED is out, have a spare CR-1020 parts unit that will be donating an LED.

Glad you only paid little for the T-7, it is problematic at best. Had one go through here where the processor put the wrong signal on the two muting transistors at the output. Since the processor chip is NLA the only cure was to lift a resistor and kill muting entirely.

Rob, I think I saw your thread on that looking for clues. Thankfully it tunes and works perfectly otherwise. I just found a decent schematic and reference to a common failure of the LC7200 IC, wonder if anyone still makes it.

BTW, I have the masks for both the power cap board and the relay board to fit either 1020 or 2020 if anyone wants to etch new boards.

One thing I recommend when you do the service bulletin mods is to suck all the old solder off of the six pin connecters and re-flow them with fresh.
