. . . I know of at least 4 people I've conversed with here at A.K. who will be nothing but blown away by this VERY good and HUGE news regarding these looooooong awaited re-issues and hence we will no longer have to keep searching in vain for an "affordable" AND playable copy of all three of these haunting, eerily beautiful recordings if you count the pre-order early last month of "She Hangs Brightly", which is supposed to come out now on 12/08/09 according to Amazon. I think - though I am trying hard to find some proof, that these last two re-issues could be pressed either by "RTI" or "SUNDAZED", either one of which could be fine with me, BUT like I said this is just in the rumor stage as of right now. (I would just LOVE to find out who it will be doing the mastering. If not a big name then at least somebody who worked on the original recordings. Dave Roback is a big fan of analog sound - and a huge hater of the loudness wars and everything even related to it - so I'm hoping he'll have some say or even personal involvement in these re-issues. )

At any rate this is just really exciting new for MAZZY-Fans whose TT's have been sadly starved from a lack of Mazzy Star Vinyl. (P.S. I can almost gurantee that amazon will likely have a pre-order price on these anywhere from $13.99-$14.99. I'm basing this on what they did with the first pre-order pricing.)

The Vinyl gods have smiled down upon some of us today. (It's a good thing. :D )

NOTE- I forgot to mention Bavarian Fruit Bread (Hooe Sandoval & The Warm Inventions) was reissued on CD and is available again.

No vinyl yet, but as Bavarian Fruit Bread was not always easy to come by, it's nice to know that it's available at least on CD.

. . . this info was in my "Elusive Disc" weekly email newsletter. *It'll turn up on Amazon and such places probably in 1-2-weeks from now* I doubt these ever would have been re-released on Vinyl were it not for the fact that we are actually getting a NEW Mazzy Star record early/mid spring(??) next year. A god's honest *NEW* Mazzy Star record plus VINYL re-issues on all their back catalog . . . . . gotta say it again: AWESOME DAMN NEWS!!

You do know there was a recent Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions CD released, right?

It's titled "Through the Devil Softly", and was only very recently released.

OK, I just fell out of my chair.

This news should kill the big $ market for the original LPs, unless the quality is lousy.

I tipped my mom off on the December re-release of the first album, so I'm hoping for that as a Christmas present. :D

. . . yeah, I was gonna give it a shot on Vinyl, which I had actually pre-ordered (I was/am skeptical about this group but the plain fact is that I just really miss that slightly narcotized - yet beautiful - voice of Ms. Sandoval so damn much! I could get the disc, but . . . . ??), then the bastards at the label canceled the whole damn Vinyl pre-order/release. :tears: Could you describe the music just a bit?

It's still so damn hard to fathom: BOTH "So Tonight . . . That I Might See" AND the, IMHO, just as equally brilliant "Among My Swan" both re-issued on Vinyl and available ON THE SAME DAY. :thmbsp::music::music::music: I see myself on a cold cloudy late winter's day, with a bit o' Mrs. Green on hand, and doing A now somewhat rare thing known as the "BACK - TO - BACK - TO - BACK". :beatnik::beatnik::beatnik:

. . . yeah, I'm being a bit spastic about this, but damn it this news seriously has made, at the very least, my whole damn month, man!

~Peace all~ :smoke:

. . . . . LOL! You and Delihaus were the first two people I thought of here at A.K. when I read that newsletter.

I think I'll put some Mazzy on the CD player when I go to bed tonight. Sandoval's voice sounds heavenly through my bedroom speakers.

Amazon must have jumped their pre-order price on "She Hangs Brightly" - it's about $2 more than Elusive right now.
