College Basketball!

Not trying to stir any pots here. It should be a good game, KU a 1 point favorite. However, if Texas should win...

And we've still got UConn (who beat Texas when they were #1), Villanova, @Georgetown and Louisville (twice) to go.

#1 would be nice, considering SU wasn't even ranked in early December. A lot of good chemistry on this team, the ego problems have moved on.

Syracuse would ascent to the top spot, and stay there as long as they keep winning..I love seeing Jim B. having this level of success at this stage of his career..he's been a credit to college basketball for decades

Boeheim is great. The Big East is blessed with some great teams and some truly great coaches. Currently 12 out of 14 Big East teams have overall winning records. It'll be interesting to see which, if any, of the Big East teams get to the Final 4 or the Elite 8. I wouldn't count out Georgetown or Villanova from going pretty deep in the tournament (along with Syracuse) as well as possibly WVU and Pitt.:thmbsp:

Looks to be a down season for ACC basketball.
Duke's probably the top ACC team, and they got clocked recently by Georgetown.
North Carolina at 13-10??
My Maryland Terps are second in conference play, but Gary Williams is gonna have to coach his a$$ off, if he expects Maryland to actually do anything this season??

Pretty amazing to see Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech near the top of the ACC. Strange year indeed in the ACC.

So, how are you liking Santa Fe?

So not too sure about my Horns lately. Sometimes seems that Rick Barnes has too much talent on this team - too easy to go to the bench and never get a core group out there playing together.

Doesn't help when they shoot <50% from the line - can't go too deep i the tourney with that.

But if they've got it going on, I don't doubt they should be able to beat KU.

Texas has a tremendous amount of player talent, and Barnes is a proven quantity as a coach...the players all seem to think they can beat the world off the dribble, and on their own, without their teammates, particularly at critical times in games.... selfish with the ball, lazy without it. I've heard interviews and read quotes with Barnes saying just this, as diplomatically as he can. If they somehow figure out how to play as a team, they will be tough...till then, barely top twenty, if at all, I'm afraid

I'll throw down for UK,I'm not liking the Calipari approach to my wildcats but it is hard to complain,I'll bitch once they strip us of the 2010 season wins.Cousins is the real deal,a BEAST in the paint.OK,bring it you guys........

I agree...Wall is a sensational, flashy player, but Cousins can and does dominate games, and is more important to their success and he continues to grow and develop as a player....regrettably, Calipari is more than likely the kiss of NCAA death for the program, but my Final Four picks are Kansas, Kentucky, and six teams from the Big East :lmao:

Still enjoying KU basketball, but after some of these games lately I don't have any fingernails left by the end of the game!:para::para::para:

:lmao: that was an example of the score not truly reflecting how dominant the winner was...KU was cruising until the officials went crazy with homer calls with about four minutes left...K State is the only remaining regular season game that poses any problems for KU, and they are indeed dangerous!

I follow two teams, the Washington Huskies and Gonzaga Bulldogs. I’m an alum of the UW and started following the Zags after moving to Spokane 10 years ago. Washington has been miserable on the road this year and is no longer ranked in the top 25, but have faith in Gonzaga’s continued strong showing in the polls.

Yeah, we can talk some basketball. Good thing the Jayhawks were rated No. 1 pre-season - that should only last until Feb. 8 when they play Texas. :smoke:

I'm sorry, what did you say??? :D

North Carolina is toward the top of my surprise list this year. But the season is not over......................

Jimfet: I wouldn't count North Carolina out. I've watch Roy pull a lot of magic out of his hat in the past!

KU will be playing K-State at Allen Field House. I don't think there will be any problems that day. :D

K State is looking like a Final 8 team to me, if not more....no such thing as overlooking them...how well KU handles that game will be the bellweather for the rest of their season, I expect...the meatgrinder that is the Big East is going to produce some battle hardened teams quite capable of winning it all...looks like a great season taking shape

I think he is resting them. Then he will use his rested team to win the ACC tourny. Then to bring home another NCAA title.:no:
