OK, Fellas! Show Us Your Stacks!

Big Tuna

Too Much Power!
I will start with my stack. I'll call it Big Tuna's "Pile-O-PowaHH!"

I had to get all my receivers out of me momma's dining room cause she was feeling claustrephobic. :sigh: So I got them all stacked up, and snapped pic. I thought it'd be neat to start a thread and I hope everyone chimes in with their stack. Show us your stacks, fellas!

Very Funny, Kennethra! :D

Can you describe your stack to us less fortunate than thou?

I take it you want me to be more specific in the title and say something like "receivers"?

Blast from the past, as I don't have a picture of my current stash:

top to bottom...
Onkyo tx-4500mkII
Sansui 9090db
Pioneer SX-1280
Marantz 2275
Pioneer sx-939
(Kenwood tuner)
Harman Kardon Pm-665vxi

The only one of those I have kept is the 9090db. I still have a stack, though, they're just on their side in the closet. the HK Pm--665vxi was probably best of the bunch and didn't deserve it's bottom spot.

No big stacks of receivers nor sources...I do, however, have a couple stacks of other sorts. No "trailer queens" here, all amps are in regular use. Top four power my HT, bottom four run my garage stereo.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but can we see your garage? Must be some setup.

It's kind of messy...but...sure. The Yamaha S215 tops have been replaced by JBL SR4732As show in the lower picture.

The two Crown amps are bridged, one to each 4719X sub, the QSC PL 3.4 runs the woofers in the SR4732A, while the QSC PL236 operates the mid/high horns. DCX2496 handles the crossovers, time alignment, and is programmed with the JBL-recommended tunings for those boxes.

I didn't feel like stacking the receivers, but you get the point.

The other stuff is just some gear I have sitting around.:D

Any way, this stuff is all "stacked", so here it is.

That Pioneer on the bottom must be hurtin.I wouldn't leave it like that for to long.

Believe me, that 5590 is FAR from hurtin'. VERY thick frame on that beast. The foam is quite dense and thick, absorbing most of the pressure from the feet and distributing it evenly across the entire area. Plus, I have them stacked according to weight, and the 5590 is the heavyweight of this bunch.

And no I don't plan on leaving them like that for long term. I just stacked them for the moment to get them out of the dining room so my momma doesn't trip all over them. When I stack them long term, I do no more than three.
