finding use for a 3000a

I have a 3000a that i have never connect to because i dont want to risk my cornwall speakers. So i was thinking maybe i could just use it as tuner your thoughts please.

The TSB mods aren't hard.

Repair it properly and bias it correctly, you'll be fine.

Pull the bottom cover and look for those big added capacitors. If there it should be safe to use. If not, try with some throwaway speakers first. As stated above, due to the age of the receiver, you probably should look into some service work on the driver and output amps. Good unit there when working properly.
