Here are mine, they all need restoration.

TU-666, found at a junk shop

5000x, does not have the updated amp boards, blows the left channel fuse. I'm debating whether this is a project I want to take on, or find someone who knows what they're doing. If there is anyone near central Mass who does, I love to talk with them.

And lastly, on top of the 5000x, a Lafayette LR-200A. I got it at the same time as the 5000x, and the rumor was that these were made by Sansui. I think there is a family resemblance. As near as I can tell from my research, it makes about 8 w/ch. There was a Sansui, that looks a lot like with the same power output. It sounds awesome! Drives a pair of ESS speakers in the man cave surprisingly well.

A few hours ago on Ebay UK I managed to win this excellent condition,in perfect working order Sansui CA-2000 pre-amp to go with my fully serviced/recapped,excellent condition monster Sansui CA-5000 power-amp. All the pots and switches have been cleaned and lubed.

I was gonna hold out for a CA-3000,but I've been waiting for nearly a year now and one has yet to show up on Ebay UK. Also,I've read that the CA-2000 has a better quality volume pot than the CA-3000. But I'll probably still try to get a CA-3000 if one does ever show up.
I'll post a pic with it connected up to the Sansui BA-5000 when it arrives by the end of this week.

I've got my first 555A, the one from the right, for free and it was in a terrible shape, with lots of corrosion on the chassis and bad transistors in the pre-amp section that were responsible for noise on the right channel. I've recapped it with Elna Silmic II and Mundorf's and changed all transistors from the pre-amp section and I haven't had a problem since, the sound being excellent. There are also some transistors well known for creating troubles on the main amp section, the "flying saucer" ones. I have those as well in this unit, but I left them alone for the moment because the weren't creating problems.
