Also, NHT Super Zero or Super One's. If you run a sub, you can dial in a sound that's pretty "seamless", with the bass transitioning from the satellite speakers to the sub. Because you have a computer-based rig, use the program "sweepgen" (sweep generator) to help you dial in the sound.

Good bass in a small room is generally more difficult to achieve, just because of standing waves, room reflections, etc. But it can be done. You just have to not have your heart set on listening to hip-hop in all its "glory"...
