Ok
Got this beast safety home...
Plugged it into my oppo... Sounds beautiful..
Wait, let me back up,
I plugged in Four channel aux, the. The front right speaker started crackling,,, alittle,, then more,,, wiggled volume, source, balance knobs for awhile,,,
Worked,,, the. Crackle..
So I changed it to tape record four channel
Crackle is complete gone...
Any idea?
Tech to deoxit for a start or does it sound like something worse?
Thanks for your help in advance..
Only happens in right front...
But right now Beck Seachange on Oppo sounds amazing

Tom and I have been on the phone and emailing on this. I looked at my QRX-9001 opened up on my dining room table and guided Tom through a DeOxit process. Kind of like remote robotic surgery. Did the patient live, Tom?

Medical update

Using tape play inputs,, listening to some America in Quad from the oppo
Very good end to a busy Saturday!
Sounds great... Thanks again Dan for your patience and kindness...
Perfect example of what AK is supposed to be!

One more thing...

I also deoxited the RCA inputs with that pipe cleaner Christmas type thing with deoxit on it...
Gonna try aux quad in a minute or two

What kind of quad stuff are you feeding 9001?
I mean is it multi channel dolby hd, or dts hd ma? Where do you send the center channel and lfe channel? Or have you declared no center and no subwoofer in oppo's menu?

Gonna go back and deoxit again...
In the mean time
Went back into tape play quad... Everything is playing nice again
Yes fragile
Very sweet in quad

Hi my name is Madani and excuse for my bad english , i restore only sansui amplifier . quadbob restoration is good for fiability but not to much for increase quality sound.The first way for increase the quality sound to QRX9001; remplace resistors R09 and R10 to board F-2637 (2x tone board) you need change 8.2Kohms with 10Kohms (feedback to BA312).10K resistor is Same 7070/8080/9090 schematic
I dont know why sansui use 8.2k ??maybe want the 9001 amplifiers is down vs 9090 , the master of this serie XXXX ???
