Yamaha Centennial Edition

The Yamaha Centennial Edition gear arrived today. Everything looks like it made the trip safely.

Now for the pics. First the boxes as they were when they arrived:

Well unfortunately the MX-10000 suffered some damage in transit. This illustrates why solid foam sheets rather than foam peanuts should be used for packing:

Humm, can't bend aluminum that thick.

I am sorry to see that mark, made me cringe a bit.

I'd ask for a bit of money back.

Perhaps a grey colored sharpie can make it look presentable?

No, aluminum that thick doesn't bend. It looks like it absorbed all the damage since it's bolted to a chassis as strong as the MX-10000 has. I'll check with Yamaha to see if they're got a spare faceplate, which is very unlikely. I'll probably end up touching it up as best I can.

That little bit of damage doesn't spoil the thrill of getting these incredible componants. I never thought these would ever be available, much less priced within my reach.
