You mean like the RA62b? I've had one in my rack for a few years.
I don't actually use it for headphones. I use if for distribution to multiple amplifier racks for various 'zones' of operation. I checked the schematic, and for my purposes, I deemed it worthwhile for my application. It uses no-frills op-amp circuits with a pretty low output impedance. Perfect for driving lines to external amps. No spectral contouring, so it sounds flat as it should. Never had a problem with mine. Dunno if this helps you or not.
