New super group on SNL "Them Crooked Vultures"?

I liked their second song. JPJ and Grohl were in good form. One of the better acts on SNL I've seen lately. That last sketch with Grohl was pretty good too.

Maybe it's a generational thing, but the first song that they played sounded to me like they were each playing a different song!

I didn't see the second song, so I can't comment on it.

Any others?

The first song was pretty disjointed. Second was much better.

I had to turn it off after the second song, it was a really lame SNL overall.

Yup, love this group. There album is great. Cool side story Paul McCartney asked to play bass in the band.

If you missed them on SNL watch Austin City Limits on February 13th.

There will be a second album out "sometime in the summer". Don't hold your breath on that quote.

Agreed. The writers were taking a week off. Usually it's a tad better (but the show is usually pretty bad). Even the digital short was boring. Them Crooked Vultures picked the show up toward the end. SNL has some decent actors (Kristen Wiig and Kenan Thompson are my favs)--too bad their talent is being consistently wasted.

All incredibly talented guys and I really like a lot of what they've done. Not really feeling this project though, and I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm just jaded from listening to tons of stoner rock over the last 10 years, but this seems like nothing much new.

Nothing really new at all. It's mostly just interesting to see 'em play together.
