They received a class A rating? I was given a pair by a friend in trade for something and I've never really blown the dust out of them. I guess it's time for some headphone listening...

Big Bill,

Please keep us in the loop as far as your personal experience with these cans...

I have been quite pleased with these vs other much higher priced options and would enjoy seeing other views...

Ok, I'll give it a shot! :)

Well, my Grado SR60’s arrived today and I’ve been listening to them since about 5:00 PM. Already I love the sound of them! They’re physically light, which is nice and the earpads don’t seem to be “hot” to my ears. I have a large head (and build for that matter) and feared these cans might be overly tight to my ears, though they are not! I think the twin (Y) can leads is a nice touch, it seems to give them a “balanced” feel. I am listening to a Roy Buchanan album on my `62 Empire TT through the earphone stage of my `79 Pioneer SA-9500 II now as I am writing this. Roy’s guitar sounds amazingly “clean” through these Grado cans! The vocals seem fairly “Centered” with a slight emphasis to the right channel (unfortunately I don’t have an other cans to compare these to at the moment), this is most likely due to hearing damage in my left ear in the 4000 HZ range. Overall I am very pleased with these headphones. I would like to again thank everyone who posted suggestions; it was very helpful when it came to making my decision! :thmbsp:

Bill.
