They are still the cheapest and biggest bang for buck. Handle them carefully when installing them. Consider EI core if you are going to buy the covers for the toirods.

Hey Rage, I did some searching on Antek Transformers (I'm about to build a new audio power amp) - you spoke highly of them. Is that still the case? I live in Toronto - so close to both Primrose (primroseaudio.com) and Plitron - but the cost comparison is 5:1.
Any advice or thoughts would be really appreciated
