TD-124 headshell wiring and tonearm question

OK, Man time has flown. I finally broke down and got reading glasses. It's a FR headshell and looks like an FR-54 tonearm. I sort of remember 5 or 10 years ago someone telling me that here. I could never read the headshell lift, and I haven't looked at it since we've had smartphones with...

TD-124 headshell wiring and tonearm question

decided to do less TV and get back into vinyl again. Picked up a new Ortofon 2M blue last spring as a Bday present to me. It's been sitting on my desk for the last 8 months. Anyway, need to rewire the headshell. got new wires, just can't find a definitive wiring diagram for the 124. Seems...

Cell Phones 2023..... What do you recommend?

What service do you have? You can usually find refurbed units from the cell provider. Much better phone for less.

what gin for a great gin and tonic???

All booze is meant to be mixed. There. I've said it. Straight booze is disgusting. I also have tried the diet tonics. Jeez. Who thought that would be a good idea. Completely horrible. If you need a sugar free substitute, maybe. But it was really bad, and I'm a diet soda junkie.

what gin for a great gin and tonic???

I've been using Crater Lake Gin and Aviation gin lately. Both a bit different. Fevertree tonics. I do have some Sanpellagrino Oakwood tonic on the shelf now. Might be my favorite right now, normally I like the Fevertree Grapefruit tonic as my go to.

    1971 German Dessert Wine

My folks drank a lot of wine in the early 70's in Germany. Anybody remember the wine bottles in a basket and then you would melt colored candles and they would drip. Ah, the memories. I was like 6. Didn't drink much wine in those days myself...

    Chef's Knives! Quality Pays!

I have a decent bunch of knives. I collect them, mostly from goodwill, etc. Favorite and most used is a lowly Wolfgang Puck 8 inch chef's knife with a cracked handle. For heavy work, I like my Artifex 10 inch. Extra heavy blade. Oddest knife I have is a 4 inch Chef's knife. It gets a lot...

Do You Hold A Pen Like This?

I occasionally write with the pen in-between my pointer finger and my middle finger, along with my thumb. Saw someone do it many years ago, tried it and don't hate it. The funny thing is that writing that way and the more normal way looks very similar in my case.

Restoring a 37 year old Ocean Blue Weber Kettle

Those old ones with the emblems are cool. Two years ago, I was heading to the hardware store to pick up a gold one. Just before I left, I realized I needed to replumb half the house. No grill that day. Ended up[ getting a Genesis gasser. I'm glad I did. I don't have time these days to do...

Thrift stores that think they are ebay outlets.

I have been collecting gear and records since the mid 90's. Those were some amazing times. You could find Fisher tube gear, Stax headphones and tons of 70's stuff in the thrifts. Many times it would be in the back covered in old clothes. And garage sales, so sweet. I once went home with 15...

    I'm a cheap knife guy.

I tell my wife that she can get me knives for every occasion. Pocket, folding, non folding, kitchen, utility it doesn't matter. She says, you already have enough knives. I say that's not possible. Cheap knives, expensive knives, they are all cool. I tell my wife I am going to get my FIL...

    PSA: Alabama loses

I think that college football is broken. I love college football, it is the only sport I watch. Once players could be paid, the transfer portal was pushed up, the coaches portal was pushed up and it was normalized to move on after one successful season, or even fire a coach after one or two...

Audio Technicas Anniversary turntable - what ye say?

Not interested in the turntable, but the pictures of his listening room make me want to clear out my Mancave and start over in a simplistic and minimalist way. As opposed to the I have too much cr@p in here and can barely get to my desk way.
