What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

Told my gang last week that if they couldn't ship me out tonight, I wouldn't be able to go at all until next week. Didn't realize it's a stat either. Oh, well. Didn't have any plans anyway.

You too? My wife decided she needed a new one. Both of ours died a while back. Wasn’t sure it was time but perhaps it is.

Forgot about Tomita. I think I have that one on vinyl. The piano version sounds interesting. The Planets is the first classical album I bought. André Previn's recording: Edit: Just realized I bought that close to 50 years ago. Now I feel old.

I think everybody and his cat has done an orchestral recording. The only versions that really treat the music differently are this one and the organ transcription that @Ds2000 showed us a while back. (Thanks @Ds2000 for the heads up. Mine just arrived)

Here you go. It's on here along with 4 CDs worth of guitar music. DG so it should be on Spotify.

Good point. It certainly helps stop the gate slamming closed on threads where people want to yak about music.

I'm trying to dig up more info on that recording. Looks like it might be 1952 with Carla Schlean taking the solo. Coupling it with Mozart's 40th is interesting. Bernstein did that when he borrowed Allan Bergius from the Tölzer Boys Choir. That concert, from La Scala, is on YouTube but isn't...
