300B's or Quadlink 5 C

I got 3 sets of Cardas 300B IC's included when I bought my used McIntosh system. One wire set failed and I tossed it out. So I ordered a set of used 300B off ebay, and when I opened the box I found Quadlink 5 C instead of the 300B's.

They do have much bigger and nicer RCA's than the 300B's, but I'm not convinced they sound better. I have tried them on the phono stage, and also the CD player, and they do sound a little different, but not any better and maybe worse.

I should be able to return them because they were sold as 300B's. What I'm unable to do is to determine if the Quadlink is suppior or inferior to the 300B's.

Do any of you know.

Tossed it??

Cardas would have re-terminated those for you at no charge.

According to cardas the quadlink wa their mid level wire and the 300b their affordable wire. Quadlink was 1 step down from the Cross
