6060 repair

I'm working on a 6060. No output. It only comes out of protection mode ( takes several seconds. seems longer then normal ) if the F-2647 power amp board is removed. All the outputs test good and so do all the transistors on the F-2647.
Question:
Should I get output to the headphone jack if it comes out of protection mode with the amp board removed?currently I get nothing.

This 6060 has the 2701 power supply circuit board

Pobably not.I believe the HP out is right off the final output through a couple dropping resistors.

Have you checked the fusibles resistors on the F-2647 driver board?

If the fusibles of the F-2647 test good check..
Fuses F604 & 605 ( 0 .15 Amp ) <----- with your multimeter
R608 - 120Ω 1 watt
R609 - 100Ω 1 watt

on the F-2701 board.

Not yet, but I will.
If I find some that are gone or way out of spec should i just replace them with standard carbon resistors?

As long as they have a flameproof coating.

I was only to able to identify 4 resistors that are fused. R31,R32,R33 and R34. all are 1/4 watt and test within their rated value of 220 ohms. I tested them all out of circuit.

If the fusibles of the F-2647 test good check..
Fuses F604 & 605 ( 0 .15 Amp ) <----- with your multimeter
R608 - 120Ω 1 watt
R609 - 100Ω 1 watt

on the F-2701 board.

R608 and R609 on the 2701 are 160 ohm brn blue brn 5% 1 watt

R608 measures 182 ohm
R609 measures 150 ohm
both measured out of circuit.

R609 is still in spec
R609 is not in spec but close.

All fuses are good

160 at +/-5% =( 152Ω -168Ω)

Both out of spec. But would not be the cause of your problem.

Seems to be a mistake in the schematic drawing as well.

What else do you recommend?

Fuses F604 & 605 ( 0 .15 Amp )

What DC voltage do you see at these two fuses?

With F2647 circuit board removed
Fuse 604 = 43 volts
Fuse 605 = minus 45.8 volts


With F2647 circuit board installed
Fuse 604 = 38.2 volts
Fuse 605 = minus 42.3 volts

when F2647 is installed receiver won't come out of protection mode.
fuses are 250volt .15amp

The outputs are ON Semiconductor MJ21193G and MJ21194G
The 93 collectors = minus 34.7 volts
The 94 collectors = 34.7 volts

Not sure about the locations. I found 01 and 02 on the board but no L. Are they test points? Picture shows what I used
Both don't read any actual DC voltage
01 = 0.2 DC
02 = 0.0 DC

I do get AC voltages at both points
01 = 32.4 volts AC
02 = 6.1 volts AC

This is assuming I tested the L01 and L02 you asked for.
Meter is a Fluke 115
