AR-11 Tweeter Foam

I just got some AR-11 speakers. The foam around the tweeters is deteriorated.
What is the best way to repair this?

Someone on Ebay has these felt tweeter rings which would be one option. Do you have to remove the
tweeter wires to install these? Is it solder?

Midwest Speaker has aftermarket replacement tweeters is the other option.

The foam is more decorative than functional I believe. Is the foam crumbling on yours now?

Yes seems like it. Plus looks like the bottom is worn through.
