Do you mean to plug into the headphone cup at one end and into an amp at the other end?

If so, male 3.5mm stereo plugs at each end (or maybe 1/4 inch male plug at the amp end depending on your equipment), like Neutrik Rean NYS231BG, connected by mini shielded twisted pair mic cable like Canare L-2E5. Very flexible and sturdy. Parts Express has the connectors, and Redco Audio sells L-2E5 by the foot.

I've had this same ponder. I have a pair of HP-1's that need restoration and thought that connectors at the ear cups would be a nice addition. There isn't much room inside the cup for a connector socket.
