Audiophile? Getting there
Just bought one of these completely refurbed. Double idler drive with auto-return, and you can turn it to manual. Has a pitch trimmer and its from 1966. Must be a flagship table from these guys. Talking to the seller, he says this table is one of the best he's ever heard. Im excited to hear it myself. Its on its way in the mail now. Good thing is this guy knows how to ship a table without damage. Any fans of this beautiful table?

That does look like a beautiful table. What cartridge are you going to us with it? I would be proud to own it. Let us know what you think once you get it.

I have the stock cartridge, but the seller gave me an extra OEM headshell so im thinking of getting a Denon DL-108 mm cartridge. Its a medium/high mass arm so its not a bad choice.

So far it sounds incredible, but i may need to hit the pitch control with some contact cleaner. The speed is up and down.

That's a beauty. The dust cover reminds me of a Dual 1219.

Well, im having some trouble. The idler spins unevenly and my speed keeps slowing down. Not sure if these issues are related, but im trying to trouble shoot it.

Still having a bit of speed issues with it still. May be time to change the two compacitors in her. Not sure what to use yet.

With the speed slipping, make sure you clean both the inside of the platter where the wheel runs and the wheel itself.
I generally find this helps greatly with any speed issues where idler's are concerned.

If it's anything like the 1975 JVC Nivico SRP-473E, it's sound should leave you speechless!

The idlers are both very supple and should catch the platter and maintain speed. The inside of the platter is clean. Leads me right up to this point of the capacitors. And yes she sounds mind blowing!!

Also new motor mounts on the table. Everything is rebuilt.
Where did you get the rubber motor mounts? I have one of these turntables and all the rubber mounts have turned to mush. There appear to be two different kinds but they are totally melted so I don't even know what to look for as replacements.
Where did you get yours?
Rick

Other than suggesting you check the motor bushings & bearings, it sounds like you're all over it then. I'm interested to see how the cap replacement goes
