- Pioneer DT-500 Timer
- Pioneer HPM-100 4 Way speakers (200 watt versions)

I'm also using:

Very nice equipment. I'll bet it sounds really good. I've heard the HPM 100's and rather enjoyed them. I'm a big fan of the slightly older Analog Pioneer recievers for those beautiful black out dials, But this is a great looking system too. Pioneer designers seem to get it it right for me for some reason. And of in terms of SQ, they are right up there too.

I like the tape deck, In good working order many such decks sound as good as CD I've found. Many people under estimate the potential of a good tape deck IMO. That Sony CD Player is a good compiment for your system. There no sloutch either when it comes to SQ.

Really nice looking system . You should have taken the covers off of the HPM`s for the video to show the woofers pulsating . Bet it sounds really nice .:thmbsp:
Excellent photos also .

Not complete without the timer! How many of us had a Pioneer timer in our stereos at some time? I had a couple throughout the years. Was there a sound expander in that series? Unfortunately CD wasn't out yet, but the Sony takes care of that and the equipment is in excellent physical condition. Looks to have good SOAF, which I can't say my audio toys have. Just need a turntable to finish it off, being 1980 analog and all. How would you describe the sound?

The Pioneer P-D70 CD player came out in 1984.

Looks great and in wonderful shape. My first stab at pioneer was the Syscom system with the SA-1040 amp., timer, turntable, cassette deck, tuner and equalizer. Still have it today with original boxes. Sounds great still.

Mint looking gear! I have my P-D70 and it looks great with blue series and would look even better with X-900 you have here.

Or maybe collect entire X-900?

Very cool.

I happen to have that CDP-302 Sony CD player. It's the only CD player from the early days of CD that is still going strong for me. The others have bit the dust.

thanks for sharing.
