Hello,

I read these forums often but usually don't post, just scour them for information. However, I recently acquired a NIVICO SRP 471-E-3 TT and after searching google, reading several threads here, and going to vinyl engine, I haven't been able to find much. I was wondering if anybody has a service manual for this turntable or one that is similar. Thanks.

Fred

Welcome to the AK turntable forum.

I have the the SRP-471E-5 version, yet to be fully restored.

Here is a picture with a little information from the Japanese Heritage site.

I got it off CL here in San Antonio for 30 Bucks, the minute I saw the ad I knew I had to have it. The guy I bought it from, his dad was in the service, brought it back from overseas. I will try and get some pics up soon. I was wondering, this needs a new cart, what budget cart would be a good match for this arm. I was thinking Grado Black, M97xe, or AT120e. What do you have on your 471E-5?

Gota love those Nivcos, but then I have a sweet spot for overseas models that
rarely are found in these parts.

Got me thinking just what else you might have hidden away Balifly?

Mostly $25.00 garage sale, CL discards that I though were great stuff.
Much to my dismay now that I know better!!!
Has anyone seen a QUEON belt drive?:D

I have only just begun to learn.

In the original headshell there is an old Victor 1004 (FJ) cartridge.
It probably has a conical stylus.
The headshell has two insets of holes for cartridge positioning.
It is probably better to use a newer headshell that allow for easier overhang adjustments.
Most likely a Nagaoka MP-11 that I already have would go well with it.

That's an older AT cart (AT6, if memory serves). JVC/Nivico sold them with conical styli, but ellipticals should be available.
