Anybody know of a good suitable substitution for the 1C12 and 1C13 transistors in the Phase Linear 200 amplifier?

I'm also looking for info on the 40327. I found a thread at DIYaudio that briefly mentioned using a 2N3440.

Thanks!

The 2N3440 is ST Microelectronics modern replacement for the RCA 40327. Very good sub, been using them for years. ST also has a sub for the MM4003 of Motorola's, the 2N5415, and for the RCA 40412, the ST 2N3439 is way good. Not having a 200 service manual in front of me I'll guess that IC12, 13 are 8 pin DIP's and are op-amps??

The part numbers shown on the schematic are 1C12, 1C13, and the label on
the parts are RCA1C12, RCA1C13.

The other part, schematic is 40327, and on the part it is ST258 (Motorola)

They are all discrete transistors.

RCA1C12 use MJE15028 or MJE15030
RCA1C13 use MJE15029 or MJE15031

For the 40327/ST258 use 2N3440 Its TO-39 case
Digikey has them

I got sidetracked by some Eico amplifiers, and finally got back to the Phase - All the cross-references were right on, and It's up and running now. Thanks for sharing the info!!!
