Pioneer PL-71

Hi, I hope someone out there can help me. I have a Pioneer PL-71. I picked it up used over 27 years ago and it has been in storage for the last 25 years. When I looked to find comparable units i noticed that all the pictures only have one tone arm. For some reason my unit has two, see pictures attached. The second tone arm meant that there wasn't room for the dust cover so the previous owner must have removed it and I don't have it. Does anyone know how or why there would be a second tone arm and does that increase or decrease the value? How much is it worth? Many thanks,

This has been done by a previous Tennant of this table. This is generally done by people that are big into cartridge evaluation and thus playing the same source at the same time with two different cartridges feeding into the same amp etc.

As far as value is concerned this is purely speculation and it's up to whoever wants it. For many it's not their desire but to someone that really wants it the value would be higher.

Horses for courses I always say.
