Sansui 6060 Protection Relay Problem

I have a Sansui 6060 which I bought just as a project receiver. When you switch it on you get the initial click then nothing. Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting this issue?

Clean the controls. Dirty controls are the single biggest cause of channel drop issues.

+1, the monitor switches can be the biggest pain in the @$$ for being dirty and trying to get clean. Deoxit and a lot of switch and control wiggling, turning, pushing. IF that doesn't start to produce some kind of sound, there are serious issues.

(You have checked all the fuses, right?)
