CortR,
I all but forgot about him. Made it a point to listen this morning!
Locatelli
Concerto for violin and strings (Op.3) in G major
Giuliano Carmignola (violin), Venice Baroque Orchestra, Andrea Marcon (director)
ARCHIV 00289 474 8952
Started off this morning with Vivaldi, L’estro armonico, Hogwood, L’Oiseau Lyre which I have on vinyl, although the Cd transfer is (maybe was?) available. Ray—what label is the Bach on? I’d like to get a copy. Drybasement—FWIW—the Kubelik is my favoite Mahler 1. Really enjoy this thread. RichPA inspired me to listen to Walton fo the first time in several years. Forgot how much I like it.

CortR,
Unfortunately, this exists only as a BBC live concert and not a commercial CD. You can get Pandolfo playing this with Alessandrini on Harmonia Mundi HMA 1955218.
Don't know either the Veracini or the Hamerik. Nothing better than something new to explore. This AM, Boccherini, Stirng Quartets 1&2, Op. 32. Quartetto Borciani. Another Naxos winner! Quartetto Borciani is in my estimation a real sleeper. Teacher and spiritual godfather Paolo Borciani (Quartetto Italiano) ought to be proud.
