"Tom Evans - Groove Plus" phono stage

Quite the experience listening to this phono stage. Got a chance to listen to it by fluke last weekend.

Tom Evans is a bit of a vinyl guru back home and I've always wanted to hear the Groove Plus, can you give us a bit more detail on what you thought impressive?

A couple of weeks ago there was a video on Youtube where someone sent one of Tom Evans' pre-amps to be repaired by 'Mend it Mark'. The repair was successful but along the way it showed the 'quality' of the build construction, and the parts used. Anyway, later Tom Evans requested Youtube to take down the video for copyright infringement. Other Youtube channels picked up on this and the original Mend it Mark video is available indirectly. I have watched Mend it Mark's videos on occasion and have always enjoyed them. It is a shame if this video has been 'taken down. Watch it while you still can. Thumbs up to Mind it Mark, Lou Rossman and the right to repair movement.

A lot of this Tom Evans frenzy has shown up in my Youtube feed. After watching the Mend it Mark it all seems like a corner of the internet making a mountain out of a molehill. Evans' mistake was not knowing social media is a hornet's nest you don't want to kick. Beyond that I doubt anyone with the means to buy $30K+ gear is going to care.
