    Smaller Modular Acoustic Panels...?

I am using the 2 inch thick Roxul stuff.

    Smaller Modular Acoustic Panels...?

I should have mentioned that this room is a bedroom, it is small and there is no real defined listening spot. I am just trying to tame the room down a good amount all over since I am never in one spot listening in there. I am trying to balance the visual aspect with practical application. I...

    Smaller Modular Acoustic Panels...?

I see what you are saying. On my bigger system I have 4'x2' panels at the early reflection points. The idea here is to use three 16"x16" panels hung one above the other for the first reflection points. I also like the idea of the smaller panels being more visually appealing if that counts for...

    Smaller Modular Acoustic Panels...?

I made some acoustic panels a while ago and now I am back at it. I have set up a stereo system in a second room that is basically an echo chamber. I have done the bigger 4'x2' panels but I am considering going to more, and smaller panels. I have enough insulation to make 36 16"x16" panels. I...

Neon Glass Art for Stereo Rig With Pics.

I have a buddy that used to do neon signs and he had this oddball neon creation sitting around. He offered it up for sale and I had to grab it just because I think it will look cool when listening to music and fit the whole set up. I don't have any photos of it with my stereo since I just got...

Realistic thrift score today with a pic.

Thanks guys. These things are definitely cool and I really need to get to recapping some stuff. I have been running a pair of stacked advents that I haven't recapped yet either. I may just have to put in an order and spend a whole day going over everything. I have never considered a quad...

Realistic thrift score today with a pic.

Walked in to the thrift shop a block from where I live and they had 4 Realistic Nova 7 Bs in the corner. They wanted $15 a piece but I was able to get them down to $40 for the whole group. Cleaned them up a bit and they sound cool and look great. I probably could have got them down a bit...

    Inherited Optonica RP-7705 with issues....

I had a few fresh caps that would work laying around so I went ahead and popped them in to the table and it didn't do anything. Still at a dead end on this thing at the moment.

    Inherited Optonica RP-7705 with issues....

Hi, and thanks for the welcome. I had actually already downloaded that manual. I cleaned all of the controls again and attempted to adjust some of the variable resistors for motor adjustment and the quartz lock and it hasn't slowed down at all. I am at a dead end so far.

    Inherited Optonica RP-7705 with issues....

Hey guys. I just inherited an Optonica turntable. The issue it is having is the RPMs are through the roof on this thing. I went ahead and cleaned the pitch controls and gave it a general once over. This had no effect on the problem. I know I should check the electrolytics but I am just...

Anyone into neon signs or neon art here?

That is really cool. I frequent a record store about a block away from where I live and they have a fantastic neon sign there. It is a guy playing a les paul shape guitar sort of striking a Pete Townshend pose with the stores name under it. I had asked about it and they said a local guy made...

Anyone into neon signs or neon art here?

Recently I have gotten into neon signs. I am not so much into beer signs but stuff that is a little bit outside of the norm. I met a guy who does neon and glass bending where I work and I am in line to buy a few pieces from him. I will share pics when I get them but, I am just curious if...

    Pics of my vintage system.

Yes I am, and I really like them. I know the photos are difficult to see but I have them powered from a Marantz 2245. I also have a set of Marantz Imperial 6s that are being powered by an HH Sccott LK-72.

I have other photos but attached them in a thread in the room treatment forum so they will not attach here.

    Pics of my vintage system.

I have been lurking here for a while and thought I would finally get around to posting some pics of my system. I only have the camera on my chromebook so I apologize for the grainy photos. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the pics.
