thanks for the pictures and description of what you did. Do you think the sound is every bit as good as spiking the speakers directly like you had it before? Also, what is the "mass loading" granite on top actually doing to improve sound?

Do the ball bearings pierce the carpet and pad to make contact with the concrete? That is my dilemma. I want to make contact with the concrete and I only think spikes will do that.
