Weekly Estate and Garage sale finds (pics)

what are these speakers? Nice 3 ways using Seas drivers (some Excel). drivers are W17; H143 and H532. No markings on manufacturer of speakers on front or on rear binding plate. Could be DIY, but the cabinets are too nice and the recessed grill holder holes makes me think either really good...

What are these? Scott integrated and tuner? But the wire caged pieces are…amps? but two completely different ones. And the black box … a modern marantz power amp or something entirely different?

    Tandberg 3002a - issue

Ok, at the risk of sounding stupid....its not a slider but rotary volume control. Could be same principal, however. Like the rotary isn't reaching full stop point. SW Cleaner? I know Chemtronics?

    Tandberg 3002a - issue

so, my Tandberg 3002a has an issue. With the volume all way down, at "0" if you will, I can still faintly hear music being passed through. Faintly, but audible all the same. I can't figure this out. Unit is otherwise operational and the volume does otherwise control the level of sound...

Nah…once I was clued in on the Lafayette make, I found quickly its likely the LA-375 (maybe the 324 or 450), all of which are japanese mid-to-late 60's solid state.

Me thinks the toy truck is like the "Brick"...put it on your Amp and it will improve the sound. Not so sure how the fuel stabilizer will help, however.

    ebay purchase dilemma

Jumpers? Not an issue worth complaining of...not even sure worth posting of. Many take the metal plates out anyway and use speaker wire instead anyway.

    Altec 340A and 440B

I picked up an Altec 340A amp and 440B pre recently at an estate sale! I know what they are, of course, but don't have much knowledge in tubes. I'm a SS kinda guy (don't shoot!). Still, I want to hear these in all their mono glory. Thing is, I haven't even plugged them in yet since I'm...

OH no...Cant believe I missed them all ! AR and Altec

If this was the estate sale in Morristown Township, I got the 440B and 340A, passed on the 306 tuner and the corner cabinet speaker.

Weekly Estate and Garage sale finds (pics)

Found this past Friday May 2nd at an estate sale. Altec 340a and 440b. The estate also had a 360a(?) tuner and an Altec 606 or 808(?) corner cabinet speaker with cone driver and crossover but no horn. I saw inside the cabinet, but not well enough to get numbers or anything. Funny thing is...
