Typically when there is some big increase in a parameter, in theis case current handling, there is some decrease in performance elsewhere. I'd guess 2383 is far more noisy than the 1845 or 1815. The CoB is still really high compared to the original device.

Often KSC1815 is a good match when KSC1845 cannot handle the current.
