Curious the outcome on this Shanol. Just received a 2270 with a horrible buzz, found one of the filter caps was shot. Replaced it and back to normal.

Basically I don't know chit about these Trios, lol, Have completely rebuilt 2 KA-8100's but they are a different beast. I don't mind doing one of the mods that sregor mentioned, but I didn't want to do both for nothing. So,,,,,,,,,relay wasn't kicking in and needed help tracing the reason and...

oops.......

yes pin 7&8 have 57v, its the same at the diode board pin 25

Thank you so much, I would like to isolate each and check but with 15 volts on both boards input pins (1 and 2) and pin 25 having 57 volts , they look like they are both toast, would you agree ? THANKS again

pin 27 has 19.5 vdc, pin 25 is 57 vdc. how do I see which board is bad w/out damaging those Darlingtons

still can't figure out why there is 0 volts after the diode, it should be 13

best info I've read yet on my 9100, went and checked diode and sure enough, 27 and zero, now the fun !
