Maybe it was the SET amplification, but as a very young child, in the 1950's, I was captivated by the glowing tubes in my 1930's RCA radio, which produced fairly good sound through its humming, electro-magnetic speaker.

As a teen, my quest for better bass began in the 1960's with an all-mono, tubed, system and home-grown speaker. After decades of digital/solid-state, since those early days, I've gone full-circle and recently returned to turntable and tubes. Every iteration of musical reproduction has its advantages and weaknesses, and am grateful for my present, imperfect, stereo.

I'm also very pleased to have found this audio family.
