Strange In the manual I have the idling power says 25w . Just measured temp of the transformer and today its around 42deg c think it has been slightly hotter before , not being running it as my main amp for few weeks, so will use it and monitor the temp . Can I get a reading from fuse...
The bulb also glows a little brighter on the 2215B than my 2230B on unloaded tickover after intitial bright glow on my dim bulb tester equiped with 60w bulb , But this may well be that its a different design , others may know wether this is the case .
Hi, It's a euro model and it's Set to 240 according to indicator , it's the actual transformer, not hot but very warm , also have a 2230b and it runs hotter than that , takes a few hrs but it does seem too warm to me .
As title was running warm before recap of power supply still the same after , all running ok and bias set and steady any pointers , or do they run quite warm?
I was just checking the voltages that are on the schematic same as I did with my 2215b to check the health of the transformer , but your probably right about the discrepency , its more or less the 37v halved.
Have aquired recently a 2230B in pretty good order apart from some damage to the faceplate , have been recomisioning it and giving it some tlc and have it up and running and have set the dc offset and bias and all seems quite steady. But on checking the power supply voltages have found that the...
Just mask the painted part of the lid with 2 layers og decent quality low tack masking tape no need to remove, ive seen the consequences of removed ones it looks bad , worse than a scratch .
Will the scratch not come out with use of various grades of wetndry and polishing compound, have personally got rid of bad scratches on quite a few turntable covers .
so you are trying to remove the perspex part of the hinged lid? I wouldnt bother ,when removing it tends to damage all the markings painted onto the lid so the replacement will probably have damage to the black paint and markings.
