What to do with a single Klipsch Belle

A fun little mono setup would be my choice. Maybe hooked up to a reel to reel and a tube amp both just sitting on top. Would be a great piece of conversation furniture and would look beautiful.

(Your) 2024 Sansui System of The Year?!

That AU/TU 7700 is such a classy combo.

(Your) 2024 Sansui System of The Year?!

2024 was a year that I got two really great Sansui receivers that I’ll probably never sell. An AU-555A that I had completely rebuilt to the LeeStereo specs. Currently running a set of New Large Advents via an 80s Kenwood amp that I’ll probably replace at some point. (The amp, not the advents)...

    Lets talk about Sansui quads

I spent a lot of time doing this this morning, so funny you should mention it. My front speakers are significantly more efficient and thus loud than my rear speakers. So in 2 channel mode with both sets active, the main balance is about 75% towards the rear. That gives me about perfect volume...

    Lets talk about Sansui quads

Testing out quad mode this morning. Pretty cool! Definitely not overpowering or unrealistic sounding which is what I was afraid of.

    Lets talk about Sansui quads

Thank you for that detailed reply. I’m definitely going to hook up a quad system and hear what it sounds like. But my last question is about the inputs. There’s a 2 channel input section, and then (2) seperate 4 channel input sections. For AUX inputs specifically, there are a high and a low set...

    Lets talk about Sansui quads

2 channel is fine on mine. Haven’t plugged any speakers into the 4 channel spots but when in quad mode it plays fine. Only problems I have is some noise on the volume pot and the L/R and Front/ Back sliders. Hoping some deoxit can get that fixed.

    Lets talk about Sansui quads

Greetings! My lovely wife suprised me today with a Sansui QRX-4500 for my birthday. She knew I like vintage Sansui’s but I have to be honest. I know almost nothing about quad 4 channel stereo receivers. I have enough speakers I could definitely make some sort of quad surround sound system with...

Need recommendations for a cool 70s inspired speaker grill cloth for my bullnose advents

Those noisy hammer printed ones are awesome! So many possibilities!

Need recommendations for a cool 70s inspired speaker grill cloth for my bullnose advents

Not a terrible idea, but I’m guessing that finding acoustically transparent tartan plaid fabric would be difficult. The market for grill cloth is especially boring I’m finding out.

Need recommendations for a cool 70s inspired speaker grill cloth for my bullnose advents

Pretty straightforward- I’m replacing the old worn out grill cloth on my NLA bullnose and I wanted to maybe try something different than just putting what originally came on them from the factory. They’ll be most likely living in my main listening space which has a very “green” theme as you...

Another Advent post…but my first full restoration!

Thanks for all the info! Here is a picture of my crossover which looks like the one you have listed on your advent page. I’m definitely going to get these reworked and cleaned up. I’m wondering if switching to a heavier gauge copper wire would improve anything? If not sound quality then I’m...
