    I bought so of the D-16-2 Alignment Tools from this site. Works for most Marantz stuff I have worked on. They are inexpensive and shipping was only $6.00 about a year ago. No affiliation, but happy with what I bought. Kit is here. Tony

    If the scope centers well on tuning and audio then save the cash. YMMV That tube looks pretty good. A lot of the tubes I have are pretty shot in the center. Tony

    It sounds like you are still not centering. Could be a bad fet as well. Does the focus effect the dot you see when powering off? Tony

    I am working on a 26 that had a good lamp but bad socket. The lamp was original. It measured .07 amps at 8 volts. The 2178 measures .08 amps at 8 volts. They look the same brightness as well. Tony
