Arcam Solo Mini . How good are ( were ) they ?

Ok, So I've been looking at ten year old HiFIs , and I must admit I've always loved the Arcam Solo Mini back in the day .( and the Linn Classik ) I loved the combination of CD player , Amp , Radio all in one unit . I never bothered even considering them at the time because like all Arcam/ Linn/ Naim gear etc etc , they were criminally high priced . But now they are old and have depreciated faster than that girl in High School you used to drool over and much more approachable ( not the girl though ) .
Can anyone tell me anything about these ( now rather old ) devices ? ( don't go all 'hifi snob' on me now . I've never wanted a house full of Linns & Krells and miles of cables ) .

My angel and I auditioned it maybe about 5 years ago, and found it too laid back. We did like the smaller footprint for the apt. we were in at the time, and the Arcam sound with other speakers, so bought a used Alpha 10 amp with an Alpha 7 tuner and Alpha 8 CD. Now it runs a pair of Rega 2.5s and Vandersteen 3a Signatures. We tried several speakers with the Arcam to find a Brit match system.

Too laid back hmmn . I've gone off the idea now anyway . There's simply too many things to go wrong ..CD player , involving Dac/laser/mechanicals etc , then there's the tuner ( with Dab ) all complex processing etc , then the amp too, with heatsinks , torroidal transformer and all all associated wiring and circuit board/s , all shoehorned into a box the size of a shoe box ( no pun intended ) . So many types of electronics and mechanisms roasting in that internal heat .. the more I thought about it , the more I drew away from the idea . Thanks anyway .
