Happy New Year All!

I just refoamed a pair of the little CX100 devils and not only do they sound pretty dreadful, the crossover is very unconventional in design. I actually think it is miswired. I have never seen a tweeter with a DC path through a woofer or the large value inductor (woofer) series passed through the low value inductor for one of the woofers. I would love someone with a pair of the CX100 with the angled driver placement to post a pic of the x/over so I can compare. The crossovers are hand soldered and although 700,000 of these were made, I can't believe they could be that bad for a micro speaker. The two woofers are actually different part numbers, as listed on B&O and they have a different response (one peaky in mid the other smoother) so it appears they tried (through wierd crossover) to roll of one and let the other be the faux mid. I am about to wire the crossover the way I think it should be and see what they sound like.
Any one with a pair they could photgraph, please email me or post a pic.
John
