basement 'treasures'

Did some cleaning and straightening last weekend downstairs. Got rid of a few things (not enough, but a start). Decided it was a good time to snap a few pix. Few were very good, but I thought I'd share a couple. All items were found at the town dump and are in working condition except where noted.

A trio of OK receivers from the dump: Technics SA-500, Radio Shack quad receiver (I forget the model number) and a Heathkit stereo receiver (AR-19 IIRC). That's a Technics SL-B2 on the top.

Radio Shack MC-500 speakers

Actually paid money for these at a charity fleamarket a couple of weeks ago (bundled with a Pioneer SA-5200 amp). They are cute little speakers and sound pretty good on-axis (dispersion is limited, though). I was surprised that the front panel is some sort of plastic material.

another small RX

Somehow I forgot this little, older Technics when we had a couple of threads recently about entry-level SS receivers of the 1970's. This is an SA-5270 (IIRC) and must be pretty low-power. quite a bit nicer than the SA-x00 and SA-x0x series, IMO. This one works perfectly but has lost its glass dial face to the ravages of time.

coupla Yamahas

A CR-1020 ($5 or 10 at a garage sale in my neighborhood a few years back) and a TC-511S. I payed real money on eBAY for the latter ($20 or so).
