Hey All,

If you can't tell, I'm cleaning and playing my Beatles records today. Got down to "Beatles Not For Sale" on NEMS records. Listening to One After 909 from 1962 right now. Cool. I also have a cool bootleg with a bunch of different cuts of Strawberry Fields and George Martin explaining how the song came together. Fun stuff to listen to.

So what unusual Beatles bootlegs do you have? I know there are tons of them out there.

Take care,

Ed

On vinyl, I have a sealed Happy Michaelmas which I think is worth a few bucks. I also have that one with the four wigs and no faces. Not so much a boot as it was just unauthorized. Grabbed it at an estate sale for fifty cents.

On CD, I have the Hollywood Bowl concerts, the Budokan shows, the complete Apple Rooftop shows, the complete Ed Sullivan shows and some random concerts from Australia, Indiana, etc.

Got, The Black Album and Arrive Without Traveling on vinyl.
Sweet Apple Trax, the Christmas fan club stuff, and Japanese copies of Rubber Soul, Help, Hard Day's Night, and Revolver that have the regular album + a bunch of outtakes on each one.

Got a bunch on CD, love "Whitology", white album alternates/outtakes, and "One Before 911" of the With The Beatles sessions

Oh yeah, Decca Sessions, Cavern Club Tapes, Early Hamburg, White Album Demos, Quarrymen at Home, and Get Back all on cassette as well.

Some of this sounds really intresting! How 'bout a short rating with some of them, or pointing out which ones you really like? I might have to go shopping for more.

All of the ones I listed on CD are pretty good with the sad exception of the Budokan shows. At first I thought it was the sound quality, but I have read that they were just burnt out by then. Its a shame as it was the tour that they were playing Rubber Soul songs.

I would be happy to burn you copies. Drop me a PM.

I have Alternate Revolver, which I like quite a bit, and 30 Days, The Best of the Twickenham Sessions, Disks 3 & 4, which I don't, for the most part.

Yea, I have a bunch of stuff from the Let It Be sessions...most of it is rather unlistenable.

Let It Be is the most bootlegged album in history as they literally recorded thousands of miles of tape for hours on end. There are gems here and there though. The Rooftop Concert is fantastic.
