Requiescat in pace
For the last week or so, I've been working my way through Jimi Hendrix 'Blues' from Classic Records.
This two record set is a compilation (as most Hendrix records are) of studio and live takes of Hendrix playing Blues-based music.
Talk about Blues with a Twist! Even on his most traditional renditions of blues classics, the unmistakable Hendrix guitar style shines through.
The recordings are uneven (to be expected from the different venues), but overall, quite enjoyable.
