Cleaning up EPI 100V speakers with sticky vinyl

I have read few posts regarding old sticky vinyl covered speakers (especially EPI 100Vs) so I want to share my cleanup experience. Recently I have acquired pair of EPI 100V speakers which came without tweeters. The cabs are in so-so condition (very sticky, slight water damage, chipped corners, minor scratches). The biggest problem with the cabinets was the sticky vinyl. Not sure if this was the case of decomposing vinyl or just years of dust, humidity and other elements affecting the speakers. I have used Seventh Generation Natural All Purpose Cleaner which has no smell and it is clear. I didn't buy it especially for the job but it is something I had available. This product took all the stickiness and grease off and the speakers are clean now. I did the cleanup yesterday and today the surface is still clean and smooth.

Just wanted to share. Not endorsing a product or anything.
