Cool Teak MCM Console - Bogen / Jensen

Cruising Ebay checking out jensen coaxials and found this listing for a beautiful Teak stereo console. Its a little out of my price range at $1700 , but I dont believe the price is totally out of the ballpark...
I imagine there are a few MCM nuts who would love this piece. I have no affiliation to the ad, I just love Mid Century Modern design and feel. Mix that in with audio gear and its heavenly delight ! The doors that cover the speakers are awesome , I catch myself staring at them for so long , I start to see a long , almost endless hallway ( in the grain ) Cool optical illusion really !

Why on Earth would someone buy that nice furniture, that nice Bogen receiver, those nice Jensen coaxials, and that horrible piece of s**t BSR?

I was thinking the same thing , although Ive truly never heard a BSR table , I always thought the general report of the BSR brand wasnt very high .
( compared to bogen and jensen, and the beautiful make of that cabinet for that matter )

So , the awesome piece , is just the bogen ? c'mon ! That wood is beautiful and in great condition ! It might not be the farest cab to some people , but with the flare up of the geometric designs of that era, this cab hit the nale of the head for " Mid Century Danish " design IMO I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder ...

It is an awesome cabinet. I use to like teak, now I find it ugly. Its just so blah and orange. I kinda see why it went out of favor. I prefer rosewood, walnut and mahogany. Teak is actually a really cheap wood, and in Denmark where a lot of this stuff came from...its every day furniture...you can buy it anywhere and everyone has it. American's are strange creators.
