I have a Denon DCD-595 CD player that I like and use frequently. Last year the laser module was getting skippy and no amount of rail or lens cleaning was helping. Very repeatable. I picked up a KSS-240a for $20 and bingo she runs like new, EZ.. So lately I've gotten interested in a fine looking Denon DCD 1500 ii and I would jump on it except when I checked the bay for availability of its KSS-151a laser modules (in case I eventually needed a replacement) I was stunned. Somebody wake me up... 4 to 5 hundred per each? Anyone else had the such a rude surprise? Even a broken KSS-151a is auctioning at $59! So the question is: Are any of the Denon 1500 ii players out there still worthy of consideration?
