I can't find any info on this tuner. It looks identical to the 200-B. Anyone know anything about it?

I haven't seen any deals lately on any Fisher tuner, save one FM-50 I bought as a parts unit. Even the 101-R (and it's big brother then 202-R) and KM-60 are bringing rather extravagant prices.

The FM-200 must have had a manufacturing window about as wide as a gnat's butt. It's the only mono Fisher tuner I've seen with the stereo-era extruded, grooved faceplate that matches the MPX-100 and the other multiplex-era components. My guess is that it probably only existed for a short while in 1961 before the multiplex standard was established and the FM-200-B was introduced.

Yah, I've got three Fisher tuners.
101R (AM-FM mono)
FM-50B (FM stereo - needs to be restrung and cleaned up)
FM-100-B

I use the 100-B regularly, but the others grace garage shelves.

Bringing back this thread. My regular tuner for a while now has been my Sansui TU 717, which is a great tuner. But I have a couple of others, including a restored R-200. When I first got it my rig was set up a bit differently and while reception was pretty good, the 717 beat it in bringing in channels. Well, I've rearranged my room and thought I'd try the R-200 again, teaming it with my new(for me) Eico HF 81. Hooked it up and channel reception was outstanding. Could bring in very weak stations quite well now that I could never bring in previously. And the sound through the HF 81? Wow. Big and bold. Seems like a perfect match with the 81. I really love this tuner.

In celebration, put together this silly little video for your enjoyment:D

I have a R-200 and use it in my main system. Had Terry redo it years ago and it still works great. Very nice tuner and really works great.
